It’s all there in the title: kids will create some imaginary aliens, and design spaceships for both the aliens and some Earth astronauts to fly around in. How are alien planets different from Earth? What kind of exciting stories will happen when humans and aliens meet each other? In this class, we’re about to find out!

Dates: December 3rd - December 17th (3 Weeks)

Kids will learn how to create fun puppets from supplies readily available around the house, and then our actors and teachers will coach them on puppet performance techniques. Kids will work together to write their own hilarious sketches for the puppets to perform. On the final day we will record kids performing with their puppets on zoom and share the performance with families.

This class is a small group Clubhouse only, there is no SPTV Livestream on this day.

Kids will create their own new inventions to solve some of the problems of the world, big or small. But inventing something is only step 1: after that you need to convince someone to buy your invention! Kids will learn the persuasive techniques to write their own commercials, and create an ad campaign.

We’re all looking forward to the holidays this year--but while we wait, let’s create our own new winter holidays and celebrate them right away! Kids will invent holidays, create new holiday traditions, design new holiday decorations, and silly holiday songs. In fact, every clubhouse will work as a group to write the words to a new song, and receive a recording of that song as sung by one of the songwriters from our podcast!

This class is a small group Clubhouse only, there is no SPTV Livestream on this day.

Kids will create an imaginary world and populate it with creatures from their imagination. As inspiration, we’ll learn about imaginary creatures from myths and classic stories, including how to draw some of them, and then explore how to make up our own! Whether kids want to create a world of imaginary dinosaurs, a magical unicorn realm, or an alien planet unlike anything ever created before, they will design it in detail and then create stories about the inhabitants.
